I wanted to start sharing more of my photographic experiences and experiments with you as I’m continuing my journey I figured I’d share some of my favourite shots from recent shows as well as tips or tricks I learn along the way!
This was a fun show at the Horsehoe, I love the tinsel in on the back wall, it adds a nice bokeh when shooting with a longer lens. It’s funny because I see people mock when people use a 70-200 in a small venue but there’s a difference in lens compression and bokeh you can’t get unless you use a long lens.
This was an interesting shoot at The Danforth Music Hall, generally it is GA/Standing but for Crash Vegas this night it was seated and photographers were only allowed down the aisles and not against the stage where we normally are for three songs. That wasn’t the challenging part for these images though I found the lighting to be very harsh so editing was a bit tricky but I think they turned out alright!
The Mod Club can be a difficult venue to photograph, these images were taken from the balcony since I had to head to Crash Vegas earlier in the evening I didn’t have the opportunity to get close to the stage, there was no pit and the Mod Club doesn’t really have the best layout to get past the crowd blob so I worked with what I had.
I am based in Toronto so most of my shows will be at local venues but I am available for travel if you’re ever looking for photographic coverage! If you’d like to see more of the images check out Fridae TV.
I would love to hear your thoughts! Criticism is always welcome as I’m looking to grow so please let me know what you think in the comments! Also let me know if you’d like to see more of these!
Thanks for stopping by!
